Very Basic Info Request 850 1993

As for an aftermarket deck, go to Crutchfield.com, and talk to them about getting a setup for an 850. I believe it is the generic "Toyota" harness that works in the 850s. It did in mine. I have a single DIN Sony, with a lower "empty" space that can hold change, smokes, etc...not big enough to hold CDs.
If I rememeber correctly, if you buy a CD player from them (they have great deals on many quality CD players <$150), the harness comes free of charge. There is also a wiring harness that cost you a few dollars. Then you will have to take it to a local stereo shop to have it installed...maybe $60.
I've had 4 Volvos, and their factory equipment is not that great. I've had ones that wouldn't play burned Cds, etc., and with my last car I decided to go with the aftermarket radio.
Just fyi
