transmission S80

Transmission slow to go into 4th gear. I have a 2003 S-80 2.9 non turbo automatic transmission. When driving normally on flat roads it seems to stay in third gear and will not go to overdrive (4th) untill I let up on the gas pedal. The car has 34000 miles and was at the dealer for the 30000 mile service and I asked about changing the transmission fluid and they said it was ok. When I asked when should it be changed they did not have a milage number for me but stated that it did not have to changed at this time. Would like your input???

Thanks,
Bill
