I was told I have 30% on my front brakes but they squeel S60 2003

I was told I have 30% brake left in the front and 70% in back, and that I could go another 10k miles at least (I currently have 32k miles on it) till changing them. But they are starting to squeel, not bad but everyone once in a while is that normal?
