Tranny Code 322 850 1995

Stop doing the downshifting, or don't do it on steep descending grades. When the tranny drives the motor sometimes you will get this 3-2-2 (A1 socket) (incorrect gear ratio...) code set. There's nothing wrong but it freaks out the tranny's brain and makes it think there's a problem when there really isn't one. Like you said, you have to rpm match if you're gonna downshift, like make it kick into a lower gear on its own (with the throttle...), then you move the shifter there to hold it in that gear. I think they upgraded the software on later year 850's to avoid this.
