Pwr Window Failed 850 1996

The right front power window in a '96 850 GLT has failed, fortunately in the up position. All others work fine. The concern is where to start looking for the trouble. Either the console-mounted switch or in the door. I do not do well with this sort of thing so I would like to start with the most strategic place first.
I am OK with the electrical part but not with access to the important items.

Bay 13 has info on the door panel removal, but no info on the console or window switch panel removal.

Has anyone had this trouble?
Anyone want to offer the easiest place to start?
Car has 157 K miles

Thanks,
Rich
