The ETS module supplier, I believe, was changed with the '02 models.

The worst years are '99 and '00. The '01 modules don't fail as often, but they still fail. So

if you're looking for a newer used volvo, the '02 or neweris your best bet. A '99 or '00 only with an extended warranty.
