Advice on buying S80 T6 S80

Looking to replace on of my faithful older Volvos and locally found an S80 T6 with 73,000 miles, with asking price of $9,9000. This seems like a good price and owner say everthing is good on it except says, "but have trouble with computer,runs very good,miles not accurate because of computer but shows about 73000 miles,it will work off and on"

I cannot interpret what this means. Can anyone give insight into this comment and if S80 is a reliable automobile?

I have 86 740 and 91 940 that I do excellent preventative maintenance on (do most of my own work) and they have serviced me well with over 200,000k on them. I don't know much about the newer models and have reservations about them since Ford took over. My other option is a great buy on a 1998 BMW 740il for about the same price.
