blown head gasket? 850 1997

For the record I had oil in my coolant tank, or whatever made the whole coolant system full of brown sludge. I was concerned it may be a head gasket leak. However, I had the coolant system flushed several times to remove the brown sludge, replaced the radiator, and filled with fresh coolant. After 5 months, the coolant is still translucent green, and no head gasket issues to discuss.

You can confirm that if it is a headgasket leak by a check at the exhaust for coolant via chemical kit test readily available at your local repair shop.

Best of luck,
Lunchman, 95 850 Turbo, 132,000
