Harsh start V70-XC70 1998

Don't have an answer, but no, they do not all do this. our '98 XC starts with just a turn or two, and no jerk at all - completely smooth start. Also does not rev very much on start-up over its normal idle of about 950. Our '95 850 turbo takes several more turns to start, then does give more of a jerk on start, and idle runs up to 1500, even 1800 for just a second after start. Both have recent torque bushings, and '95 has new front motor mount. 85k on the '98 and 75k on the '95, and both up to date on all service and tinkering. I sort of assumed that there was some change between 850 and V70 cars that made them start faster, but don't know. Also, I assumed that the longer cranking time on the '95 is partly the cause of the higher revs on start (more gas sucked in). Hopefully, someone here had a more definitive cause, as I really prefer the '98's smoothness but haven't figured out how to achieve it on the '95 ;-)
