Can the air pump & relay be salvaged?? 850 1996

CEL went on and I pulled the normal secondary air injection codes. I've checked the vaccum and air hoses and they are fine so I'm fairly certain it's the common "water in the air pump" problem. Is it possible to drain the air pump of water and spray something like Corrosion X on the pump motor and relay and bring them back to life?? I'm going to replace the SAS valve because it's probably what caused the failure in the first place but I'd like to save the $300+ if I could and get the old pump and relay to work again. Your experiences or thoughts would be appreciated. If you havent heard of Corrosion X check it out on the web, awesome stuff!
