all year long is the stupidest thing I have ever heard!!! All you do is needlessly cyle the compressor constantly! I looked at more used 70 series cars where the compressor clutchs had more dust coming out of them due to overuse! I only put the switch on when "I" need it and after 125K miles...no issues on my end. Ya gotta remember.....Car companies make money off of parts and service.....does that answer your question?
