Leather steering wheel V70-XC70

It happens ONLY with the beige-tan colors on the wheels.

It's sure not my hand lotion because I don't use hand lotion. Mine wore through at about 51,000 miles - just enough to get me through the "appearance" warranty.

It appears to be another defect that Volvo won't take ownership of.

My car was new enough, and I was annoyed enough, that I bought a new steering wheel, this one in BLACK leather ($$$) (it's still OK, 100,000 miles later) but if it happened again I'd just buy the $34 steering wheel cover (called "glove") from IPD, the Volvo aftermarket parts folks.
