Trim strip comming off 850 1994

Hi,

The roof strips are easy to remove from the car, there are clips that are attached to the roof that the strips attach to, once you start pulling up from the rear of the car you can pull them off by hand. I just removed mine last weekend. You can use detailing tape to cover the aluminum after you peel off the the loose plastic that is peeling off (the glue wears out and the plastic peels off). The other alternative is to take a wire wheel or brush and use a drill to remove the remaining plastic coating, then sand, prime, and paint. (I am doing this now). You can replace the roof strips, but I believe they are about $280 for the pair. Here are relevant threads on this topic:
