Dash lights 850

1994 850 wagon. My left side dash lights for fuel, temp, turbo boost and speedometer guages come on and off while driving. Only the upper right hand corner light stays lit all the time. Is this likely a loose connection somewhere or a problem in the instrument cluster? How extensive is the job of taking out the instrument cluster? Thanks for the help.
