Broken upper and lower right motor mounts. I just went thru this 6 months ago on my AWD.........was absolutley convinced it was a CV joint but when I actually got underneath and started to yank on things....the motor was actually moving about an inch or more.........sure enough both the top and lower right mounts near the cranshaft pulley were broken. This is a do-it-yourselfer and you can get the parts from FCP Groton. The upper mount will be an harder urethane mount......much easier to install than a factory one but it is stiffer so you will feel the engine more only on start up.
