S70 ATF type....... S70 2000

Just purchased a 2000 S70 (non-turbo) with 80K miles. The car has been serviced regularly, but the transmission fluid looks a little old. The shop that serviced it must believe the Volvo marketing hype about ATF lasting forever.

I've read a lot in the archives about how to do it, and appreciate the benefits of synthetic versus dino oil, but what type fluid is correct. The owner's manual is confusing. It says the car has a AW5 since it's not a turbo, that requires a special Volvo gearbox oil (1161540-8). Most everything else I've seen says Dexron III. What's correct?

Thanks.
