Replacing battery cable S70 1998

Thanks guys!

The battery was replaced at the Volvo dealer by the previous owner in November 2004, wouldn't the installer have cleaned up the cable ends when putting in a new battery?

I guess I'll have to examine those myself and look for corrosion. It looked clean at a glance from the top, I'm kind of afraid of touching batteries.

I have not had any problems but I don't want the new battery to be damaged by voltage drain.
