another squeeling break question 850 1997

I just had my rear breaks done, new pads and rotors, at an indi shop.
And of course they are squeeling like crazy. I went back to the shop, and the mech told me to drive it for another week and then call him if the squeeling continues. He said he uses only OEM parts, but the rotors are drilled...
Is there a way I can check to see if he used shims with out taking the brakes all apart? The squeeling seems to be getting worse the more I drive.
Thanks
Russ
