transmission flush 850 1996

I used the transmission flush kit from ipdusa.com. Instead, you could easily just buy a piece of clear silicone hose and a funnel, too. However, the kit also comes with a new hose clip and o-ring. After 11 years, it would be a good idea to get new ones. Anyway, even if you don't use the IPD kit, you can download the instruction sheet that comes with their kit : http://www.ipdusa.com/pdf/PI-290TrannyFlushKit.pdf

For a fluid, a lot of people on this board use Mobil 1 synthetic. Seems to work fine in my 850. I would definitely go ahead and change it. The procedure is really easy, if a little wasteful because you are diluting out the old fluid in small increments. Definitely a do it yourself project. Have fun.
