3 probs Flashing Check Engine Light, misfire codes and system too rich V70-XC70 1998

My check engine light has been on for a while but started flashing briefly today and then resumed glowing steady again. Does this mean anything particular?

I just replaced the spark plugs, Dist cap, rotor and plug wires. They were all in need of replacement. I'm still getting misfire codes though. I made sure the gap was correct and that all wires were positively seated. What else should I do to troubleshoot this condition?

Also, I've had a system too rich bank 1 code for a while. Is this related to the misfire codes? I've read so far that the MAF, Pre Cat O2, Post Cat 02 and the coolant temp sending unit are all possible causes for this condition. I've tested the MAF for proper voltage and it checked out. I don't have a scope so I can't test the O2 sensors but I'm wondering if there is a way to test the temp sending unit?

Can anyone help?
