synthetic to regular 850

Hi,
If i use synthetic oil just to try to eliminate valve noise/stick lifters and realize that it won't don't do any good then decide to switch back to regular oil, will it do harm on the engine? My car has high mileage and just curious if switching to syn oil will improve performance at this stage? Car runs great and my RMS has been replaced last year. No leaks so far but just annoyed with the cold start valve noise. Presently using Mobil syn blend w/c i think is much better than regular oil for my car. I do oil service at 3000 miles or 3 mos whichever comes first
Thanks for your inputs....
