With nothing to loose, did the dealer drop the pan for the tranny? If it ran for 5 miles with fresh fluid, then it could be dirt. Try cleaning out the pan, adding a couple of quarts, and flush the tranny with the home school method by disconnecting the cooler line and pouring it into large buckets. You will need about 10 liters for a flush.
