You might want to post this problem in the 240 section of the board, this one is for front wheel drivers.
Did the CEL flicker before you changed out the speedo? If not, then you probably have a bad connection in the instrument cluster.
If it always flickered, then you have a bad ground wire somewhere. Probably on the driver's side fender.
