854 / S70: what to look out for? 850

Hi guys,

I'm looking to purchase my first FWD volvo. Previously, I've owned a 760 and currently we own a 740. I really like the inside and outside of the 854/S70 models, but I don't know if they're as reliable as my 740.

Regardless, what tips would you give to me? What should I look out for? What are trouble spots? Which model variant (by displacement, aspiration, etc.) is most reliable? How much should I expect to pay for the said model?

Please answer as many as you can. I was going to post this in the new forum, but there appears to be no one there, so I hope you guys don't mind. :)
