AirResq......i do almost S70

all the repairs on my V70 but the timimng belt to me was $290 well spent at the volvo dealer for 2 reasons. 1)If I screwed it up, saving about $230 could cost you $3500 in a major head repair. 2)Mine had the mechanical tensioner which is set somehow by temperature.........letting Volvo do it also gives you a 12 month/12k parts and labor warranty (most dealers) so spending the $290 was well worth it! There is a post on the V70 site now where somebody had an Indy replace the belt and now he has failure code / emission issues which means one of the cams may be off a tooth! I consider myself pretty mechanical (I have rebuilt engines, tranis etc) but this is one due to the risk with not have 100% knowledge could cost you a TON! Just my own opinion! Good luck!
