Recirculation Switch is not working? Please help!!! 850 1995

Just bought a used 850.

I drove behind an old diesel truck today. With my baby in the car, I tried to turn on the recirculation switch so that the bad air will not get into the car. It seems like it doesn't do anything. I already noticed that the yellow light is still on (but not very bright) when the switch is off. When turn on the switch the light is brighter, but the out side air still flow into the car at the same rate.

Should I try to change the switch? Is it easy to access? Where can I find the part? (part#?). If the switch is not broken, it could be the motor that control the vent. Is it easy to access and change the motor?

Please help! I like the fresh air in California. But not behind the bad diesel truck, especially with my baby on board. Thanks in advance!
