Encouragement needed - can I change my serpentine belt? S70 1998

Hi all,

I have a 1998 S70 in need of a new serpentine belt. THe indies and the dealer all want $150 to change it and it doesn't seem that hard. But after looking at the Volvospeed site it refers to parts that I don't know where to find, and it also says I have to use a new route for the belt.

I'm a bit intimidated, has anyone else doen this and can offer words of encouragement? I've done things liek clean EGR/PCV, spark plugs etc myself and have very basic tools.

Is the serpentine belt change tool from IPD worth the $30? It loks kind of like a coat hanger to me :) Since I probably won't be doing this again for a long time it seems if I spend $26 for the belt and $30 for the tool I am almost halfway to the cost of having it done for me.
