Remote key Fob 850

After finally changing the batteries in my key fobs adn following the directions to reset them, I find that I can only get one to work. Each time I reset one, the other one stops working! I know you can have up to 4 key fobs that are active and somehow my car must think that I already have four different ones set up so it keeps dumping the last key fob entered. Is there any way to reset the system so that I fan program the two key fobs that I do actually have? Thanks for any help here.
