GEARBOX PROBLEM 850

Thanks Guys, I've got some more questions that and need your expert advice. The dealer says that the transmission has water mixed with the oil and that it needs to be replaced. They say that the cause was that when the car overheated because of a cracked hose and the cylinder head then blew, after replacing the head, they say that the transmission fluid should have been flushed. The head was replaced over a year ago and the car had worked perfectly till now, if there was water mixed with the fluid, would the gearbox last this long? the car would have reached an average of 70 mph every day since the head was changed. The clutch has never slipped.

Regards

Stretch
