I have an opportunity to get a very nice 1997 VOLVO 850 GLT with relatively low miles - just under 65,000.

What is your opinion of the car? I've only had old Volvo's (REALLY OLD) but now the wife is looking at something she can drive and not put so many miles on her new truck.

The car is a 4-door sedan, and the ad says it is a "5 CYLINDER 2.4 LITER TURBO" with an automatic trans and all the usual toys including moonroof.

Any well-known problem areas, oddball traits, etc?

What kind of MPG could we expect...now that gasoline is approaching $3 a gallon?

Any input would be appreciated!
