Brake hose durability 850

Hello everyone,

I was changing brake pads and rotors earlier today. To make a long story short, I slipped while removing the caliper, and before hanging the caliper with wire, the caliper pretty much fell off of the rotor/hub, and dangled by the brake hose for a few moments. The brake hose pretty much broke the fall of the caliper, as it never touched the ground. I pretty much gasped and cursed, but all looked well, so I finished up the brake job.

My question is this: Anyone else have a similar experience, and are those brake hoses durable enough to take that kind of short-lived abuse?? The car is back together now and has been stopping fine. I would like to hear of others who can attest to the durability (or lack of) with their brake hoses. Would make me feel a bit better to hear I really have nothing to worry about at this point. Thanks!!
