99 V-70 S70 1995

I have a '98 S70 so not much different in the lighting spectra of things to yours. There is a recall bulletin for the light switch (on the dash), and your problem might be related to it. Call your dealer and give them your VIN number and see if yours is affected. No juice to the front running light (either left or right)...the short may start at the switch on the dash. If so, and you're in the group recalled, then the dealer will replace the switch for free, no questions asked.

I do have Vadis on my computer and could check some things out for you if the above is not the issue...but very difficult to pin-point a short. There are also a few "harnesses" between the switch and the actual bulb socket, so one of those might have gone bad. 2 questions...makes a difference on the Vadis search- 1. Do you have adjustable high beams (level looking thing under the hood where you can make adjustments) and 2. do your low beams work at night...when not using the Daytime Running Light function? Or is the low beam out all the time, day or night?

If you are not in the recall group, you could first try your luck at buying the 3 point (3 lights..high, low and turn signal, I believe), if you think this is the culprit...it is part# 9438738, or just the harness for the bult that connects to the 3 point harness. It's part# is 9162343. They also sell a Bulb/harness repair kit that includes a bulb, the harness and what appears to be a plastic tie-off. That part# is 274261. Good luck!
