Does this sound right ABS - problems S70

98 S70 T5 auto

My ABS light has been on for about 2 years, no real problems except locking brakes up on hard stops - but pumping them myself like the olden days.

recently gas mileage went downhill and engine seems to strugle, but will still get up and move. went having to mash the gas down, the engine light comes on for a couple of days. with all this, the speeodometer works 1/2 the time and sometimes just drops. the miles to empty computer is also not working - when says i have 10 - 30 miles left - it has 4 or 5 gallons still in it.

then i heard some mech. type sounds from front right wheel. then the wheel locked up. the brake pads seem to be squeezing - can not drive it.

up until the brake lockig up on right side, the dealer said that the problems stem from the ABS unit and that all the sensors and computers with the car go through the ABS computer. they wanted $850 for it and could not garantee that would fix all.

i'm willing to send the ABS unit to that guy that is somewhere on the internet for him to repair it at fraction of cost. the dealer said the ABS computer is deteriating.

does this sound right? could the ABS lock up that right wheel, or is it just a stuck cylinder?
