service light S40-V40 2000

2 methods I found to turn off the Service Light on your car:

1. Put the ignition key in.
Hold the odometer button and turn the key to the II position.
Keep holding the odometer button down until the service light flashes.
Now turn the key off
Start the car to make sure the light is off

If #1 doesn't work, try #2.

2. Turn the key to the 1st position.
Hold the trip button down.
While still holding it, turn the key to the third position.
Light will begin to flash and about the third time, release the trip button.
Start the car to make sure the light is off.

If you can get either to work, please let us know which one worked.
