thinking about buying a '95 850 GLT for commuting, opinions? 850 1995

Hello,

I'm looking at buying a 1995 850 GLT (Normally aspirated, 5spd). I haven't seen the car in person yet. The seller talks about a new exhaust, Brakes, Fuel Pump, and clutch. Car has 122K, he's asking ~$6K.

The price seems really high for 122K miles I would have through 2500 is more realistic.

The seller mentions that the air (assume AC) needs work. I don't care as I've never liked AC but my wife loves it. It sounds like the evaporator is terrible to remove - is it DIY-able? How much do parts cost?

How does the NA engine compare to the turbos? Is the EPA Gas mileage suggestion close to reality (29 HWY)?

What other things should I look for? Will the transmission and engine go for 200K?

I'm planning on using the car for a commute of 500 miles a week - will I find it reliable?

thanks for any response - I'm mostly familiar with old Saabs.
