Strange Radio code problem for SC-815 on 850 1996 Solved 850 1996

The radio would not accept the *correct* code (just stayed on the screen). Other codes, which were not correct, would yield the EEEE. The radio service at our Volvo dealer indicated I needed a new radio. I ordered a new SC-815 on eBay, but the new radio did the same thing! I played around with it and it finally started working after I unplugged the antenna in the back, turned it on, and then entered the code! I then plugged the antenna back in and slid it back into place. Voila!
