Headlight switch recall ? V70-XC70

Absurd or not, the addition to the harness makes just enough difference in voltage to extend the life of the bulb. At least it did for me. Could have been an additional harness that included a resistor also, but in any event it was less expensive than replacing the entire harness.

If you don't have an issue with bulb life, I wouldn't worry about it.

Not sure why the dealer would call this a performance enhancement, and it sure as heck would not be a download.

Try another dealer maybe? Some are definitely better than others. IMO
