Another quality Volvo part that fell off S70 1998

My S70's hasn't fallen off but I did have the 850's fall off. I just pulled the old one up where it is suppose to bolt on, drilled another hole near the one that was torn and bolted it up. It worked fine and sold it in this condition. This worked because it wasn't dragged far and I took it completely loose and threw it in the back when it did and I noticed something dragging. If you catch it early you might be able to do this. If it is caught late and torn up from road abrasion then your best bet is a replacement. You might check junk yards for a used one in still decent shape. Anything approaching or over 100 bucks seems high to me for a piece of plastic.
