Rear hatch seal rusting inside 850 wagon - How to replace? 850 1995

Hi Phil;

I went to the Volvo dealer last saturday and purchased the trim, not very cheap but not too expensive either. The guy behind the counter warned me that the old trim might be tricky to get out, because it could be stuck into the glue that holds the rear glass.

It took me 30 secs to get out the old trim. Tried first to slide the new trim into position with some soap to lubricate things, but without success. Then I just placed the trim in position, and using a flat screwdriver I pushed it up into position, starting from one side. The whole job took abt 30 minutes, and now my rear hatch looks just as new again.

Hope this can be of help to others, I also searched the forum without finding any match. Believe that this is a problem to the early V70's as well.
