A/C problems 850

I had my evaporator replaced a couple of months ago. An aftermarket evaporator was used as the replacement. I was told that may be the cause of my current problems. I started hearing the clicking sound telling me it was cycling more than normal. I was told it was low on refrigerant. Aftermarket evaporators tend to leak and the clips because they don't line up enough. I am not thrilled to find out that this may be the problem after spending $$ to finally replace the evap.

I have found over and over again with this Volvo...I should have learned by now, that many times saving money on aftermarket parts may not be worth the savings.

For example, I know others who've said they've had good results with PBR brakes etc. I wanted to get rid of the ugly brake dust problem. I tried them and never could get rid of the squeal until I went back to the OEM. Maybe it is who installs these parts. I don't do the repairs myself.
