pavement sealer removal 850

company sealed employee parking lot last week and my 96 850 got covered with wind blown asphalt sealer. Local detailer tried their tar remover and had no luck with the sealant on the glass. He was reluctant to try it on a painted surface. Manager of company facility wants to try Toluloul (sp) on a hidden part of the car to see if it has any negative effects. I am concerned it may remove the clear coat finish and have some other negative effects such as bleaching out the paint later.
Any advice or experience would be gratefully welcome.
