Need ECC/Blower Fan/A/C HELP!!! 850 1995

Hi Everyone,

I'm new here to this site, and somewhat new to Volvo. This seems like a GRRREAT site that I look foreward to becoming actively involved in. On my 1995 850 Turbo with ECC, here's the issue... The two orange "A/C" and "REC" lights are NOT LIT UP at all. My blower fan doesn't work on any setting, and my A/C compressor is Locked-up (not spinning freely at all). I'm also instantaneously blowing fuses for the A/C compressor as soon as I install them. This situation began all at once. Driving in the rain with the A/C blowing cold, fan blowing, etc. all working perfectly... Next second, with no warning, "SCRRRREEEEEECCCCHHHH!!!!!" - A/C compressor locked-up, both lights went dead on climate control panel (lights never "blinked" or anything... straight from "on" to "dead"), and no blower fan motor. I got the car back home less than a mile away... Hobbling into the driveway, my serpentine belt snapped and broke free from the car... no reported injuries. I have since routed a serpentine belt that is bypassing the A/C compressor. Glad to at least have the car drivable at this point, I could hardly care about having A/C. I DO need to get the blower fan working, at least. I have NO IDEA where to begin on this "phase" of the project... PLEASE HELP!!!

Thanks Everyone,

Paul
