Your starter problem may be due to the PNP switch going bad. Only if you engage the starter and nothing happens. Try cleaning the PNP contacts by rowing your shift lever from R to L about 20 times the next time the starter will not engage. That tempory fix should give you a couple of months to save for a new PNP.
