new tires and first tire rotation S40-V40

I just got some new tires (Yohohama Avid H4s) installed and the installer told me the first tire rotation is very important and should be done at 4,000 miles. Anyone hear of such advice and why it's so important? I usually rotate at 7,500 miles with an oil/filter change.
