Heater Fans Not Working V70-XC70 2000

I recently bought a 2000 V70 XC. I have had a couple of instances where I have put the fans on in the car and nothing happens - no air comes out. Most time it works fine but it happened again this morning. The dealership service folks have looked at it and can't find a problem and of course is never happens when it is in the shop. Has anyone experienced this problem? I have had a couple other electronic issues, like the windows not going up and down, but that seems to be fixed. Could this all be related?
