Hood Latch Release Adjustment - Technical How-To V70-XC70 2000

On my 2000 V70 XC the hood lock on the drivers side does not always release properly. The passenger side works everytime I pull the release inside the car, but the drivers side sometimes releases and sometimes doesn't.

I went after the problem yesterday, solved it, and then made a How-to. Hope this helps someone...the problem drove me nuts and everyone said just to live with it. You can find the how-to document at these sites:
