odometer stopped working 850 1997

I replaced my gear about 6 months ago and it took about 2 hours total. The big mistake I made was NOT removing my "service" light bulb. When you remove the cluster take out the bulb and put a piece of electrical tape over the hole. Now, I have to watch my "service" light come on every time I fire the car up but, it does go out exactly 120 seconds later. I'm hoping it will burn out!!

Good luck!
