T5, GLT, What Does it All Mean?

Couple of years ago, I went to the dealer for answers to your question and walked away confused.

850GLT - Grand Luxury Touring, until 1996. 97 and on LT became light turbo, about 2x normal @ about 200bhp.

850 Turbo - 222 bhp, nice wheels, leather, bells and whistles.

850 R - fun and pricey!!!

850 T5 - 222 bhp, fewer bells and whistles than turbo

V70 base - 170bhp
V70 GLT - 200bhp
V70 T5 - 240bhp+ -- in 2005, the R has 300+
V70R - 240+ and awd and suede seats.
