Ken,
You wrote...also did tune up stuff while I was at it - plugs, dist cap & rotor.

So I assumed that you already put in new plugs, etc. Not left them on the shelf! :)
How many miles on the old plugs? And don't say too many.
6,000 miles and a NEW plaque for your trusty beast!
