Starting Problem S70 2000

Im grasping at straws again. Could there be any connection between the ECC unit and my starting problem. In hot weather I leave the a/c unit on auto but in nicer weather its off (zero). I know the heat and air turns off during starting (position III) but maybe something might be messed up. I do know that there is a clicking/ crackling sound ( much like a computer booting up only slow) when the heat or air is on. This noise continues even after the key is switched to postion I. The system seems to work fine thoough except for these clicking. Probably is not related to the starting issue, but what the heck. The former owner also reported this off and on clicking noise.

This ECC clicking is not a bi issue with me, but the starting then is !!!!!I will sell this car or trade-in for a non-volvo if the problem can't be corrected. I really like the car but you can't cross your fingers everytime you get in the car and start it.
